Plan Your Elopement Amid The COVID-19 Pandemic
How to start planning your elopement abroad during a pandemic.
While COVID-19 keeps on being part of our world, many of you might be wondering when we will be able to return to normal. And oh boy, how I feel about you on this. Many of you might feel out of the blue because of this and even feel completely lost. Eloping abroad gives you second thoughts but it’s still something you can do -even if it might not be possible right now.
You eloping with your fiancee abroad can still happen.
Step 1: Plan your elopement to happen in the future.
We can’t know how long the travel bans will stay in force or what the quarantine rules in the future. With my couples, I have a free rescheduling policy for up to 12 months. This gives us a lot of time to see how the situation goes and we will be able to have your elopement happen!
If you're thinking about eloping in 2021 or 2022 I recommend contacting me now, so we can easily start planning your elopement and you will have a free reschedule policy. It’s always better to re-schedule than cancelling.
Step 2: Book your vendors.
There were many wedding couples who had to postpone their wedding to 2021. This means that the year 2021 will be super popular and might lead to an option that there aren’t that many vendors available at all because of this. You really need to secure your date if you will be eloping in 2021 and especially contact the photographer you want to work with.
Step 3: Ask about payment plans.
If you are worried about the financial commitment of booking your elopement abroad, ask about payment plans. I can always make you a payment plan and it’s good to know that for all the packages you choose, there is first a deposit to pay and the rest of the amount will expire one month before your wedding day.
Step 4: Get insurance.
Check out what insurances there are for travelling abroad and what are their policies on cancelling your travel.
Even during these days, things might feel dark, but it will pass. Your wedding day will happen and remember what Albus Dumbledore once said:
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
