“Where do I start? The whole experience was absolutely incredible. Lisa was extremely helpful with the elopement planning. My husband and I live in Florida, and this was my first time doing international travel.
Lisa helped with all of the steps along the way. She gave us different information about hotels in the area, airlines, and car rentals. We had numerous video chats, prior to leaving for Iceland, which was comforting to me. This was my first time doing a Google search, for something this important or special. I did my research on numerous elopement photographers’ websites, but I honest knew Lisa was the right person when I came across her website. She even helped us with picking the perfect officiant.
My husband and I have been together for over 8.5 years, and we do things on our own time. We always knew we wanted to get married in Iceland, on a black sand beach.

We both knew we were not the type of people who would enjoy being the centerpiece of attention in a big, glorious wedding with an endless itinerary and hundreds of guests. We also are an adventurous pair, who would much rather spend our days exploring new places and discovering new cultures. An elopement in Iceland just made perfect sense.
An elopement, as simple as it seems, however, still required some planning - specifically when it comes to coordinating the logistics of legally marrying abroad. Here is where Lisa came in. My wife found Lisa's profile through social media, Instagram I believe, and needless to say, her photos speak for themselves. You can spend a minute on her page, glancing over the amazing shots she has taken over her career, and you cannot avoid but fall in love with Iceland. Lisa has a natural ability to reveal the beauty of such dynamic landscapes in a still shot.
Lisa became involved with every detail of our elopement. She helped us get all our paperwork in order, planned multiple potential photo locations, assisted my wife in scheduling vendors for make-up and hair, and she even kept us updated on the weather conditions and potential weather hazards for our proposed wedding date. Even though we were more than 7000 kilometres apart, Lisa was always available via email, phone, and video chat. The entire process, albeit simple in concept, was effortless with her help. She is far more than an "elopement photographer".
To be honest, it was hard for me to envision what our elopement photos ought to look like, I just didn't know what to expect. Iceland looks great on photos so I figured some of that natural beauty would sneak into our elopement shots. And it did! But the astonishing aspect of Lisa's talent is that she captured our feelings and emotions. Looking at the photos now I can see the happiness I felt that day. And, after interacting with Lisa throughout our wedding day, it became very clear why she is great at her craft - she loves her job immensely.

It all started when we saw her amazing photos on Instagram. The first few email exchanges happened very quickly and soon we were chatting over Zoom to come up with a customizable package that would work well for what we envisioned for our 10th-anniversary photoshoot in Iceland. While we were talking with Lisa, we realized she was truly engaged and wanted to genuinely know about us. We really appreciated her time and effort into finding out what kind of shots we wanted.

“I hired Lisa as a photographer in February 2024 to photograph my engagement in Iceland in May 2024. We lived in Boston and had never been to Iceland before the week off.
Lisa was simply extraordinary and truly went above and beyond in every aspect. She left no stone unturned in the whole process, from the ideation phase of how I would propose, to suggesting locations, to coordinating our excursion to the ice caves, to sharing dozens of places to visit and restaurants to explore.
We had a couple of hours of phone calls in advance and many emails, and she was very responsive, flexible and easy to communicate with. Leading up to the big day she was sharing travel warnings with us, weather, reminders, and more! She even asked us if we would mind adding another stop to take more photos, all included. For the day of, she travelled ~3 hours to the shoot location and we literally spent 8 hours together. She was funny and kind, yet professional and skilled.
The photos, a few attached, came out amazing and were edited and delivered virtually in a week, even earlier than we were expecting. We have worked with a couple of other photographers in the US and not only was it more expensive, but we were also left completely in the dark, rushed, and it took ages to get the pictures.
If you are looking for someone in Iceland, you better pray Lisa is available as she will blow your socks off. And if that isn't enough, she loves cats and can communicate telepathically with the sheep of Iceland. She made our entire trip a fairytale and we are so grateful to have worked with and met her.”

“My experience with Lisa was perfect from start to finish. She started off with a video chat where we could really get to know each other and discuss how to make the proposal special. From there, the various emails on how to prepare for Iceland really helped me plan our trip. She continued the communication on the proposal, giving me detailed instructions on where to stand, places to take photos nearby, what time of day to shoot, etc.
On the day of the proposal, she gave words of encouragement and made it so my fiancé didn't expect a thing when I got down on one knee. Once my fiancé met Lisa and we started taking photos at different locations, Lisa made us both feel comfortable and gave great guidance. The photos turned out beautiful, our favourites were when we were in a grassy area by the beach and the whole area was filled with fog.

Over the next few months, we periodically chatted with Lisa through email, video chat, and text, as she ensured we were on schedule for our wedding to go off without a hitch. It would not have gone so smoothly without her kind reminders of things we needed to do. She was very on top of our timetable and made sure we had the proper paperwork and contacts when we needed them. “Lisa is incredible! Planning an overseas elopement can be quite nerve-wracking but Lisa helped ease any anxieties we may have felt. From bridal floral services to car rental insurance, Lisa was always an email or video chat away to help us plan the most magical day.
While we planned our wedding day photo locations well in advance with Lisa, Iceland had some other plans in store for us! The weather was too intense to go to any of our planned locations so, Lisa immediately pivoted and provided multiple backup locations and safety precautions. “Our Iceland elopement with Lisa was amazing from the moment we began exchanging emails with her.
Our first impression was just how professional and organized she was. Lisa responded to our emails incredibly fast and always had detailed information and assistance for us. We had a few virtual chats with her while we were in the planning phase and it felt so natural, like planning an adventure with a friend (who knows all about Iceland!). She helped us finalize our locations, prepared us for what to expect, eased all of our worries, assisted us with other vendors, and even helped us find a dry cleaner! All of this in addition to being an amazing photographer and capturing stunning photos of our special day.
The entire day was an amazing, cold, and rainy adventure, but Lisa truly helped make it fun and memorable. “We have decided to let Lisa be part of our elopement day, and it turns out she is not only our photographer but also virtually our planner who had constantly shared tips with us about Iceland!
Iceland is a place requiring tremendous time and effort in research because everyone could have made a very different and unique trip, entirely depending on one's wish and appetite. We were planning a simple elopement day - just me and my partner to be married, a couple of friends to witness, a celebrant to make it legal and a photographer to record.
We did not want to find a wedding planner as we could not use much of the service - we did not engage many vendors so technically we should be able to manage ourselves. However, we did not know where we should start (as normally a wedding planner will help you with everything end-to-end). We reached Lisa and soon we realised she was the best person for us as she would understand our needs and give advice, also soon pulled together a rough timeline for us to visualise what it's like on our elopement day.
We also got her help to shape and tune our itinerary for the other days during our trip. Those were all inner tips and valuable advice from local perspectives.
The photos - they were excellent. We did not have a bright sunny day, instead we encountered the worst weather during our entire Iceland trip, right on our elopement day. We were not in good mood either as we needed to re-locate the ceremony half an hour before it should have started. Yet, we managed to have the ceremony done but the rains and winds constantly stopped us from taking further photos. We were so worried as we had planned so much for that day and it would be very difficult for all of us (including my friends and Lisa) to re-schedule the photo session. Yet, Lisa patiently and professionally worked with us to explore if any other scenes for us to carry on. The results were satisfactory. They were truly more than what we expected (since we had little hope as the weather was too bad).
