I'm Lisa, an Iceland elopement photographer and experience designer based in Vík, South Iceland. I help couples plan private, adventurous elopements around how they actually want their wedding day to feel, with local knowledge of Iceland's weather, access and changing conditions built into the experience from the beginning. You get to be present for the day you're travelling all this way to have. Living in Vík has taught me how quickly conditions can change, how much timing affects privacy, and why the place that looks perfect online isn't always the right choice for your day. My role combines photography with experience design and local planning, so you don't have to figure all of that out from another country.

Location Guidance Based on the Experience You Want
I'll narrow the possibilities down based on what matters to you, along with the season, access, weather and how much adventure you actually want. You won't receive a catalogue of beautiful places and another twenty decisions to make.
A Timeline Built Around the Experience
We'll give the day enough structure that you know what's happening, while leaving room to actually experience it. Meals, warming up, driving together and ten quiet minutes after your ceremony are allowed to be part of your wedding too.
Weather and Backup Planning
Iceland gets a vote. I'll monitor conditions, adjust our timing when necessary and think through alternatives before we need them. If Plan A changes, the goal is to protect what mattered about it, whether that was privacy, adventure or somewhere quiet for your vows.
Privacy Strategy
Privacy here is usually something we create rather than promise. That might mean changing the time, walking farther, choosing a different route or skipping the place everybody else has saved on Instagram.

If your plans need an officiant, private driver, glacier guide, florist or another local professional, I'll help you find the right people and work those moving pieces into the day.
And once we're there, you don't need to keep managing the plan.

I'm Lisa. I've been a professional photographer for 11 years, and today I plan and photograph elopements from my home in Vík, South Iceland.
Living here has changed the way I work.
I see how quickly the weather can turn, which roads become difficult after a storm, when familiar places are surprisingly quiet and when the plan we loved yesterday isn't the one I'd recommend today.
That firsthand knowledge comes into everything from choosing locations to deciding what time we leave in the morning. It also means I'm thinking about the less exciting details, like road conditions, access and whether there's somewhere sensible to warm up along the way.
And when Iceland changes the plan, because sometimes it will, you won't be standing there on your wedding morning trying to work out what happens next.

Living in Vík means South Iceland isn't a place I learn about before a shoot. It's the landscape I move through in ordinary life, through changing seasons, difficult weather and the very different visitor patterns each part of the year brings.
That matters when we're planning your elopement.
A waterfall that feels quiet early in the morning can be completely different a few hours later. A road that was straightforward yesterday may need another plan after a storm. And sometimes the place you saved online simply isn't where I'd recommend spending one of the most important parts of your day.
Working with a local South Iceland elopement photographer means those details can shape the plan before they become problems. We can think about when to arrive, how long the journey actually takes, where you'll have more privacy and when another location would give you a better experience.
South Iceland gives us plenty to work with. Black sand beaches, waterfalls, glaciers and quieter landscapes away from the usual stops are all possibilities, but we don't need to fit them all into one day.
