þakgil elopement in Iceland I Nadia & Ted

When it comes to weddings and elopements, many couples dream of a sunny day with clear blue skies. But for Nadia and Ted, the mist and rain on their elopement day in Iceland brought a unique and special element to their elopement photos. Nadia and Ted had planned their elopement in Iceland for months, but they couldn't control the weather.

Nadia and Ted had dreamed of a romantic elopement by a breathtaking waterfall. However, as we all know, mother nature in Iceland has a way of throwing a wrench in even the best-laid plans. On their elopement, it rained and the mist was thick, but they didn't let that dampen their spirits. They were determined to say "I do" no matter what. Nadia and Ted's elopement in Iceland proves that sometimes the unexpected can make for the most memorable and beautiful experiences. Despite the unexpected change of plans, Nadia and Ted's elopement turned out to be just as magical and beautiful as they had hoped.

Nadia and Ted's elopement story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, even when things don't go according to plan, they can still turn out just as perfect. Nature has a way of surprising us, and in this case, it created a beautiful moment that the couple will cherish forever. No matter what life throws their way, they know that they can handle it together, and that is the true beauty of their love story.

Nadia & Ted’s testimonial for Lisa:

“We have decided to let Lisa be part of our elopement day, and it turns out she is not only our photographer but also virtually our planner who had constantly shared tips with us about Iceland!

Iceland is a place requiring tremendous time and effort in research because everyone could have made a very different and unique trip, entirely depending on one's wish and appetite. We were planning a simple elopement day - just me and my partner to be married, a couple of friends to witness, a celebrant to make it legal and a photographer to record.

We did not want to find a wedding planner as we could not use much of the service - we did not engage many vendors so technically we should be able to manage ourselves. However, we did not know where we should start (as normally a wedding planner will help you with everything end-to-end). We reached Lisa and soon we realised she is the best person for us as she would understand our needs and made advice, also soon pulled together a rough timeline for us to visualise what it's like on our elopement day.

We also got her help to shape and tune our itinerary for the other days during our trip. Those were all inner tips and valuable advice from local perspectives.

The photos - they were excellent. We did not have a bright sunny day, instead, we encountered the worst weather during our entire Iceland trip, right on our elopement day. We were not in a good mood either as we needed to relocate the ceremony half an hour before it should have started. Yet, we managed to have the ceremony done but the rains and winds constantly stopped us from taking further photos. We were so worried as we had planned so much for that day and it would be very difficult for all of us (including my friends and Lisa) to re-schedule the photo session. Yet, Lisa patiently and professionally worked with us to explore any other scenes for us to carry on. The results were satisfactory. They were truly more than what we expected (since we had little hope as the weather was too bad).

If you are looking for a photographer and happen to also want a quiet and simple elopement, please try out Lisa :)”
