And what better place to exchange vows than amidst the breathtaking beauty of Iceland? Echo had visited Iceland before and knew it was the perfect destination to get married.

Travelling from Shanghai to Iceland was no small feat, but for Echo & Jiafang, it was a journey they were willing to undertake for their dream wedding. From the moment they boarded the plane to the moment they arrived in Iceland, anticipation and excitement filled the air. Every mile travelled brought them closer to the realization of their vision—a black church wedding in Buakirkja, on the enchanting Sneafellnes Peninsula.

Nestled amidst the stunning landscapes of Iceland lies a hidden gem—a unique black wooden church known as Budakirkja. It's here that Echo & Jiafang choose to exchange their vows, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

As Echo & Jiafang stood hand in hand at the entrance of Budakirkja, they were greeted by the haunting beauty of its ancient walls. The black wooden exterior stood in stark contrast to the surrounding landscape, creating a sense of mystery and intrigue. As the ceremony began, Echo & Jiafang stood before their loved ones, ready to profess their love and commitment to one another.

Wedding reception at Hotel Budir

After the ceremony, Echo & Jiafang and their guests gathered for a celebration lunch, filled with laughter, music, and good cheer. It was a time to revel in the joy of their union and to toast to the future that lay ahead. The wedding reception was held at Hotel Budir which has one of the most beautiful views to celebrate your marriage. In the scenery, you can see mountains that tops are covered with snow, water and moss fields. Besides the three-course meal, there were speeches from Echo’s parents, from Echo and Jiafang.

Wedding photos at Snaefellsnes peninsula

After the lunchtime celebration came to an end, Echo and Jiafang travelled across Snaefellsnes peninsula for photos to be captured. They got one of the most amazing weathers in Iceland that felt like the summer. Echo and Jiafang got picture memories from some of the most iconic places from the peninsula and a couple of secret spots that only the locals are aware of.
